Let’s do something!

We get to pay

You give us Great Depression

We get to grow up in your broken economy

You give us high estate costs and low wages

We get to wonder how we will afford the lives we were given

You give us high expectations

We get to fear not fulfilling them

You give us a burning earth

We get to solve the problems you’ve created

You give us doubt

We get to learn not to open up to you

You give us inequality

We get to live in fear

(Tom )

Do something

Let’s go swimming in the ocean

Before it is filled with plastic

Let`s go take some fresh air

Before our lungs die from toxics

Let`s picnic in the forest

Before it gets burnt down

Let`s climb a mountain

Before it crumbles

Let`s do something

Before it is too late

Let`s do something

Before we can`t do something

Humans versus World

I give you water

You give me poison

I give you animals

You are killing them

I gave you resources

You are exploiting them

I am the world

You are killing me

I am defenceless

You say, you`ll help me

I trusted you

You did nothing

(Julian)

Conspicuous Consumption

We live in indigence

We buy just to satisfy

They bother ‘bout another

Mouth to feed

While we have no need

We buy out of boredom

They work hard to pull through

Whatever it is, as long as it’s much

While they can’t even touch

The conspicuous consumption

Whereas they have no option.
