African Americans: From the age of slavery to the present

As many of you already know, the Black-History-Month is about oppression of colored people and about the end of slavery in the USA. To show how everything went exactly in the USA the class 8d made storyboards about that topic in the English lessons. The history of African Americans is shown there.

In the 19th century, slavery was normal and people were discriminated for their colour. 1861 – 1968 many people fought for their civil rights with demonstrations. Many people lost their lives. Today, all over the world, slavery is forbidden. Even though it still often happens that people are disadvantaged and exploited because of the colour of their skin.
